With more than 50 years in the dental field, Dr. Virginia Gregory brings an exceptional level of experience, skill, and passion to Smile Carolina Dental Group. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles and believes there is no greater reward than seeing the confidence that comes with excellent oral health. After decades in private practice, she continues to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and cosmetic dental care with a strong focus on patient comfort and lasting results.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Gregory began her education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene and her Master of Science in speech pathology. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1985.

Committed to continued learning and clinical excellence, Dr. Gregory has completed hundreds of hours of advanced education across all aspects of dentistry. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association, and has earned Fellowship status at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Over the course of her career, she has spent more than four decades in private practice, with a focus on cosmetic and comprehensive restorative dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Originally from Hendersonville, North Carolina, Dr. Gregory is married to her husband, Butch Cody, and has a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of her time outside of the office.

In her free time, Dr. Gregory loves painting, walking, skiing, traveling, reading, and cooking. A fun fact about her is that she was voted “Most School Spirited” in high school.
